Today starts contemplative I guess. Most days start trying to find a way to make Laurie smile. Sometimes I have to get me to that place first.
We have a large painting done by my nephew Jay Brooks. He is an amazing artist. The painting is of the entrance to his parents woods. It is done solely with a pallet knife in heavy strokes. In doing this more impressionist style he has managed to capture the wind in this scene. It’s really hard to paint the wind I would suspect. I admire this extreme talent! By the way, the painting is 35 years old and done while he was in high school.
So we go. Seeking joy!
